Sounds like fun and motivating to me. I designed 2-3 Celtic knot beaded hatband patterns awhile back and they got put on the back burner. This sounds like a reason to bead at least one.
Sounds like a reason to perfect that Celtic Cross I've had in the back of my mind the last 4 or 5 years. I'm in.
